If you attended the Pack meeting this month, this is just a reminder. For those who did not make it to the Pack meeting, I wanted to let you know a little bit about Day Camp this summer. The link below is the two pageregistration form for the 2008 Dan Patch District Day Camp. The theme this year is "Cub Scout Olympics, Going for the Blue and Gold." For those who have not attended Day Camp in the past, it consists of two days of activities done in a round-robin style. Each day a Cub will visit five or more different stations. These may consist of games, sports, skill activities and crafts done individually and/or as a group. If you are interested, and would like the pack to pay for the $35.00 registration fee, complete the form and return it to me by March 31st. If the registration form isn't completed by this time, you can still sign-up, however, the pack won't pay for it (and the cost goes up!!). The Pack is planning on going to Camp 2: June 26-27 at Hidden Valley Park in Savage. However if you cannot make this date feel free to choose from any of the other camps (I believe there is a conflict with a Webelos Camp).Also when you register please consider volunteering for a day or both days. We need volunteers to be Station Leaders or Walking Den Leaders or help out as Camp Staff. Also if you have any older Boy Scouts or Girl Scouts the District is also looking for them to volunteer. Just let me know. If any of you have a den meeting later this month it would be a good time to get your registration form turned in to your den leader and then I can make arrangements with him/her to get the registration forms. Events this spring/summer – Scout Days with the Minnesota Twins - $24.00 per person. Price includes Pre-Game Parade (Scouts & leader only), lower level reserved outfield seat (Home Run Porch), hot dog and soft drink and a Twin’s t-shirt.
June 7, 2008 – Scout Day at Valleyfair. Valleyfair is offering a special discounted ticket price to all scouts and their families. Regular admission (48” & taller in shoes) $20.00, Junior/Senior Admission (3yrs & older and less than 48” tall in shoes or 62yrs & older) $15.00, Boxed Lunch Voucher $8.50 (includes two all-beef hotdogs, a bag of Lay’s potato chips, a Dole fruit cup and one 16oz soft drink! Lunch served from 12noon-2:00pm in the Picnic Cove located just outside the park’s entrance. Vouchers must be purchased by 1:00pm.) NO RESERVATIONS REQUIRED!! Purchase tickets the day of the event at the specially marked Scout Day windows at the Group Sales Building located to the right of the main gate. CASH ONLY! No checks or credit cards accepted. Must purchase tickets by 4:00pm on June 7, 2008. Rate is valid on June 7, 2008 only.
July 18, 2008 – Scout all Night at the Metrodome - Watch the Minnesota Twins vs. the Texas Rangers. Game starts at 7:10pm on Friday and activities last until about 5:15am Saturday. Cost is $28.00 per person and includes on field camp out and activities following the game, lower level reserved seat in left field (Home Run Porch), coupon for hot dog and soft drink and a Twins T-shirt—over a $50.00 value!!
July 27th, 2008 – Scout Night with the Minnesota Thunder - $8.00 per Scout/youth and $12.00 per Adult.
August 3, 2008 – St. Paul Saints Scout Day. 1:05pm. St. Paul Saints vs. Sioux Falls Canaries. Only $17.00 per person and includes general admission ticket to game, coupon for a hot dog and soft drink, special St. Paul Saints scout patch, free St. Paul Saints baseball hat with every ticket, post-game autograph session for scouts only, multiple sport skills areas, post-game movie on the videoboard and opportunity to run the bases after the game. Order tickets online at www.saintsgroups.com Enter “scouts” as password. Tickets can be printed online at the time of purchase. Vouchers for hotdog, soda and Saints hat can be picked up inside the main gate on the day of the game.

Planning for the 2008 District Day Camp is starting!  We are looking for volunteers to join the District Day Camp planning committee.  Volunteers are also needed for the positions of Program Director and Camp Director for each camp.

As part of the planning committee you will be working with others to make the 2008 Day Camp a success.
